About

My name is Mariah Kidd. At 19, I'm not an expert at storytelling or anything else, but I have thought a lot about the stuff on this blog. You can contact me at mariahkidd@me.com

This blog will cater to people who want to tell pro-life stories, specifically webcomics, though much of the information will work in all mediums.
Why webcomics? First let me explain what they are for those of you who don't know: webcomics are comics that are online. They are usually updated a page at a time once or multiple times a week. They can be about all kinds of things, not just superheroes. There are websites that host webcomics for free. Email me and I'll give you some links to webcomics that I like that may not be pro-life to give you a better idea of what they are.
Webcomics are something that I am interested in, and there are many people who read them. With their update schedule, a pro-life comic would stay on the mind of the reader longer than a book. A collaboration of pro-life webcomics could have the power to influence the culture. It could save lives.

I want to pair artists with writers, so that those who want to do only one of the two can do so without looking in places that may not be so kind to pro-lifers. If you are interested in drawing or writing a pro-life comic, please contact me so I can add you to the list. Please include an online portfolio or a one-sentence description of your story so that people can find a good fit. If you do not have a portfolio or a story ready, you can still participate in our group project. The idea is a group of writers collaborate and write a short story, and a group of artists each draw one page. The goal is that a group project would be going on at all times, and anyone can participate.

Any pro-life webcomics that the community creates will be featured in a blog post at its launch. (And as long as it remains manageable, I will link to the comics when they update in a blog post. This may turn into a "comics that updated yesterday" blog post.)

If you are interested in technical stuff and want to help with the website, please contact me. I barely know what I'm doing on that front. Any help would be appreciated! I especially need someone I could contact when I need help.

If you are interested in writing articles, contact me with your idea and a sample of writing. You can also send me ideas for articles you want to see.

This is not the place to debate abortion. I will not approve any comment that is not about pro-life stories or the blog post. This is to create a safe environment for the artists and writers, and I ask you respect it. You can email me if you really want to debate.
